but when the rhapsody plays; it takes my breath away

Went to Marina Square last night for dinner at Billy Bombers with Cong and Ah Pear. Then went to Prize Stage again.

I've grown a liking towards those UFO claw catcher machines. It's not about me playing the game. It's more of the amusement derived from watching Weicong and Pearwee get hopping mad, curse and swear when they fail to win.

My Cinnamoroll!:

Thanks Congy!

Dad's flying off this Saturday (or Sunday?) to Melbourne with Ong Kou (a good friend of his with a fucked up nickname) to visit my elder brother and view the apartments there. Mr Paranoid-Tight-Assed will be gone for a few days! I have a couple of days off from his routine deranged, anxiety-attacked-stricken talking and lecturings! Whoohoo!

But sadly, this does not mean more freedom for me. Quite on the contrary. I think I would have to return home earlier than usual because I don't have that kind of money to keep taking a taxi and nobody would be willing to come to fetch me home late at night. That means you, mother.

However, in all fairness, everyday my mother wakes at 6am, goes to work then comes back home, have her daily gym exercise, cleans our whole 4-storey terrace herself til it shines, cook our meals, other household chores, yaks her mouth off to the nearest ear available..., etc. It's no shocker she falls right into bed around 10pm.

And I won't be able to go out on consecutive days since I have to take care of my 2 doggies' meals.

I can't stay out too late also because my dogs would have no one to sleep with. Knowing them, if me or my father isn't there they would sit sadly at the glass door and wait til either one of us comes back, and they would go on a hunger strike too, everytime my family go overseas for a holiday we would send them over to a relative's house to have them babysat but they would refuse to eat until we come back. It's always so heart-wrenching for me to notice their massive weight-loss when we arrive back from our trip. When I came back last year from I-forgot-where, I made a resolution to not go overseas anymore unless they are under my father's care.

The rest of my family, excluding my dad and I, are cold blooded creatures and don't give a shit toward animals.

Early nights, fresh meals and bedtimes. God, I'm turning into a Mum.

but when the rhapsody plays; it takes my breath away

Yesterday, Pearwee, Weicong and I met up at Northpoint because we initially wanted to go to the Science Centre. But our plans changed and they Pearwee decided to go Bugis to shop. Cong and him bought shoes, then Pearwee bought a bag. We took neoprints then took a train to City Hall.

While we were waiting for Peixiong to come, those 2 went to play the UFO catcher machines at Marina Square. Pearwee caught Miss Bunny for me! It was a wonderful way to pass time. We then went to Pariss International to eat first, Peixiong joined us at the buffet after an hour. After eating our full, we went back to the UFO catcher machines and this time Weicong caught Thumper for me!

So happy!

Thanks Ahkor and Congy for the Waa-bbits!

And thanks again to Ahkor for treating us!

I LURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRVE YOU TWO!!!

Pearwee's flying off to Australia soon for a month for his NS thingy. :(
Fuck NS!
Pearwee have a safe trip, be good and don't forget to miss us.

but when the rhapsody plays; it takes my breath away

Me, Cong, Peixiong, Jascelyn and Perry got together 3 days ago to celebrate Perry ahkor's 19th birthday.

We took the Singapore Flyer's night flight. The view was absolutely amazing, you could really see the whole Singapore's lighted up landscape from the peak. But after that short breath-taking moment, I started to get bored and restless, I just simply don't have it in me to really stop and appreciate sceneries. Unlike my parents, whenever we go overseas or something, they would gaze at those snow-covered mountain peaks / cherry blossom trees / ponds / the Eiffel tower / other don't know what towers / ancient temples / the Trevi fountain / other don't know what fountains / the Vatican city where the Pope stays / other huge-ass buildings where royalty or someone significant resides in / old Cathedrals / old Churches / old something / etc, etc, etc, and would want to take like a million photos until it's really time for us to go. The "Wow. Wtf." factor lasts 5 minutes tops for me, after that I will start to wander around restlessly and maybe throw in a little whining.

So anyway, after the Singapore Flyer we went back to yishun. Perry, Jas and Px went to eat while Cong and I went to take Perry's cake. They went back to Perry's house first and we arrived a little later with his cake lighted up at his house's doorstep. He said in his blog that we tried to surprise him but failed. DON'T LIE PEARWEE! I KNOW WE SUCEEDED! He was grinning away from ear to ear.

Speaking of Perry's birthday cake, I got a real kick out of it when they allowed me to get the words "HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEARWEEE!" on his cake. Totally regretted not snapping a closeup of it.
